Does my image leave my device?

For background removal, replacement, cropping and export, no. Those run entirely in your browser and nothing is uploaded. Only if you switch on a generative background provider (the keyless demo tier, or your own Gemini or FLUX key) is the image sent to that external service, and the tool tells you clearly before that happens.

Can the tool change or invent parts of my product?

The composition engine never alters product pixels, so identity, shape, colour, logos and text stay exactly as uploaded. Generative backgrounds change only the scene around the cut-out product. Because no model is perfect, a side-by-side fidelity check lets you confirm nothing was altered before you export.

What are the image sizes for each marketplace?

As commonly published: Amazon main image at least 1000px on the longest side (1600px enables zoom) on pure white; eBay at least 500px shortest side, 1600px for zoom; Etsy about 2000px shortest side; Shopify 2048 by 2048 square; Walmart at least 1000 by 1000 square, 2000 recommended; TikTok Shop at least 600 by 600, 1:1, with five or more images. Confirm against each marketplace's current official seller documentation before relying on these.

Do I have to disclose AI-generated images on TikTok Shop?

Yes. Under TikTok Shop's 2026 content policy, AI-generated product imagery such as fabricated scenes or AI models requires a visible AI-generated disclosure label, while background removal and light cleanup are treated as ordinary editing. This tool automatically burns a visible AI-generated label onto any variation built with a generative background.

Is Product Image Studio free?

Yes. The on-device composition engine and all exports are free with no account and no key. The optional keyless generative tier is free but rate-limited by its provider; higher-fidelity generation uses your own API key, which you pay the provider for directly.

Which file format should I use?

Use PNG for main images that need a clean white background and crisp edges, JPG when a marketplace expects smaller files, and WebP for the lightest files where a marketplace accepts it. The tool exports all three and strips camera metadata on export.
